‘And The Story Unfolds’ is a paper based art work with a design based on the English Exam Board format. The contents is unfortunately a true story. It highlights issues of grooming and abuse in a northern school as a series of anecdotes which were recalled to me by separate groups of people. By the time I had heard the last portion of the tale I was deeply shocked and horrified. I decided the only way to emotionally move forwards beyond the distress was to document the stories. This journaling, was the beginning of this piece of art. I wondered how school pupils could be expected to focus on exam studies knowing that their peers had been groomed and used for the gratification of the adults teaching them. This lead to presenting the stories in a imaginary exam style paper.
